This is where you can get information about what's going on with the band.
Show at the Executive Surf Club tonight!! Very excited, haven't played there in ages. New Song, New Cover Song, Should be great. We are also signed up for battle of the bands held by The House of Rock. Would be nice to win that, get to open up for the Voodoo Glow Skulls. More info on that as it gets closer. -Rob
Well, Another show behind us. What a blast it was to play with the Reely Rotenz and Return To Sender. Theo's was a fun club even tho the smoke, Lazers, and Strobe lights were an unexpected change. It seems that we keep playing shows, which is fun, but we haven't had much time to work on new stuff, which isn't soo bad cuz playing shows is the fun part. Hopefully we'll get some time to get some new stuff going. I think we have another show lined up, but I have to ask Edwin to make sure. We haven't really been asking for shows, we just keep getting asked to play so it's kinda hecktic, but the guys are loving every minute. We've been recording the shows and I've posted some of youtube, but the recordings are kinda rough. check them out here http://www.youtube.com/user/pigeonking51
well, see you guys at the next show and check back for more dates and stuff. -Rob
It's monday, and I've just about healed from the crazyness of this last weekend. Our show was great and I posted a video on our video page. We have another show this friday at Revolution with the rotenz. Should be fun. Working on new songs and excited about playing again. -Rob
Last night we had our first show with our new bass player, Danny, and our new guitarist, Mike. It was a great chance to get our feet wet and we put on a pertty good how and all had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us! Check out some pics on our pictures page! We will be playing on the 19th at Threads and we're super excited about it. We're going to be working on another new song which might be ready for that show, who knows? See you all out there.. -Rob
It's now October!!! Love the cool weather and the collection of cool holidays, but most of all, ONE DOLLAR BOB SHOWS!!! We're working our butts off to get ready for the shows we've got lined up, we've got shirts printed and are fixing to do a little recording. More shows should be added soon as well as updates about our recording! Super excited! Ckeck back soon! -Rob
It's about time for another update. Haven't been keeping up with the site in a while, because things have been pretty crazy. Mr. Patterson, out beloved bass player has parted ways with the band to move to north Texas with his lady. Glad they're off doing they're own thing and wish them the best. Our guitarist, Ryan, has been replaced due to conflicting schedules. We worked at it for a long time but eventually the choice was made to find someone else. After some time looking, we were able to find a new bass plaer, Danny B, and we were able to get our old guitarist, Mike M, to fill the missing spots. We have been working very hard at getting our stuff down again and have written some new songs, Let it die tonight, Moving on, Getting Old, and are ready to start playing shows. We have a show lined up for next month with "The Reely Rotenz" Don't have all the info yet, but check back for lots of news coming soon! -Rob
It has been a while since we've updated. We are working pretty hard at writing some new songs. We have two completed, "Take Me Home" and "Dying Next to You", and we have others in the works. We hope to have a a show very soon to show off our hard work. We, unforutantely have to find a new bass player soon, because Mr. Patterson will be leaving. We do plan on having a few shows before he goes. Check back for more deatails soon. -Rob
Well, we got through our first show, which ended up being at the House Of Rock. We are really glad the guys there let up play and can't wait to play there again. The bands that night were pretty good. Echo, played after us, followed by Grey Light Society, and then the Clems. We had a chance to pass out some stickers and guitar picks, hope everyone got one, if not, ask us at our next show, which should be pretty soon. Check back with us for more details on that. Also, I added a video of our House of Rock show to our videos page, for those who missed out! Check it out. -Rob-
It's just 2 days before the show. The band has been working hard at getting our stuff together. It's been really rough, everyone has been fighting their schedules to get together to practice, but I feel we're going to do well. We have pics and stickers for the show and are glad our show actually happened. We were suppose to have it at Theo's, but we were removed from the show for reasons we're still trying to unearth, but they guys at the House Of Rock let us on their show at the alst minute. Check our shows page for more details. Hope to see everyone at the show. Laters -Rob-
Put up a new recording for "just the way you are" in our music page. We plan to have 3 more new recording in the next week or so, can't wait to hear how they come out. "Better Off Alone" should be done by tonight and posted shortly after. We hope to be playing shows by next month, not sure exactly when, but I can't wait. More News Very SOon. -Rob-
Well, I put up a "lyrics" page, added a video to the "music" page, and put a picture on our "about us" page of Ryan and fixed the spelling of his name, guess he got sick of the fisherman pic. The band has new songs, about 3 full and working on more. We can't wait to play shows and we hope to be doing that as soo as we get some time. More to come. -Rob-
Well, It's been a while since I've updated this site, and I'm not sure why, cuz things have been going on. First off, we lost our guitarist David. He kinda vanished in Houston, hope he's ok and all that. We did find a new guitarist, Ryan,

(ok, this isn't really him but I don't have a picture of him so I googled his name and this came up)
who has been working his butt off to get our songs down; he's just about got them all at this point. Also, we have a bass player now, Mike. He's survived 2 practices so far and is seems to be a keeper.

We have been working on getting our stuff down and are getting very close to being ready for shows, a few weeks hopefully, which is closer than we've been in a while. We also have new songs, Better off alone, Letting go, and a few more in the works. We've cut a few songs out of our set list and are looking for new cover to play. Lots going on. I'll be updating our site in a few days when I get more to post. -Rob-
Over the last two weeks, we've been practicing with a new guitarist, David.

This is from his myspace and I borrowed it without premission, eh. We've got about 3-4 songs down and hope to get the rest in the next week or two. I've been working on some new songs that I'm excited about, our new song "Better Off Alone" sounds great so far and I hope to record it when we get some time. We still need a bass player that can sing fairly well, we've been passing out fliers and hope to find someone soon. All for now -Rob-
Finally finished recording RED. I think I'll have it posted here soon, just have to get off my ass and do it. Practice next monday to get ready to record another song, I have high hopes for this one. -Rob-
Another song goes up. It's on our music page and also on our www.myspace.com/onedollarbob page. It's called Left Behind. Also, the art and CD art are both done. CD will be called "Unstable at best" which discribes how our band has been for the last few years. the art looks like this

Keep checking back for more updates

A few New Changes with the band. We had planned to keep the band going as a long distance thing, with Garry living in Austin and another bass player he knew in Austin. After thinking about it and a deep discussion, Edwin and I(Rob) have decided to find a new guitarist and bass player. We have some people in mind and will be trying them out in the next couple of weeks. Also, we have picked up some new recording equipment and hope to make a new demo. The number of songs it will have is not yet decided, but it will probably have 3-4 songs including a new song and a song we've played live but haven't recorded yet. More news soon. later -Rob-
Finished the first recording of what now seems like our first demo in a long time. We hope to do this one right and maybe to sell it for a few bucks in hopes of putting some money in the ODB coffers, with which we will probably buy some new merch. Check out Madelyn on our music page or on our www.myspace.com/onedollarbob
Talks of new shows have been going on, been working on 2-3 new songs, and ideas of a few new recordings being tossed around. More soon...
Pretty obvious that I've decided to change the web site. I knew this was going to happen and I know the drive to play more shows will cause the band to get playing again. I'm going to start working on some new songs. Much more new stuff to come.
